Literature Text
Gone are the days of feeling cold and lonely,
Of dark grey clouds being all I could see.
Gone are the days of endless suffering,
As Winter is ending and Spring is beginning.
August has released us from its freezing embrace,
Summer is starting to show its shining face,
August’s rain and clouds are fading away
Leaving me happier than words can say.
Winter will never really last forever,
All things will eventually get better.
Winter is just a time to remember
As we start to enter September.
Of dark grey clouds being all I could see.
Gone are the days of endless suffering,
As Winter is ending and Spring is beginning.

Leaving me happier than words can say.

As we start to enter September.

Lullaby
Hush, hush, Child
Monsters don't hide
In the dark of night.
Sleep tight, Child
You're not alone.
All evil walk on two feet
Their faces are human,
Hands can give and destroy.
Let them close,
They'll whisper sweet things,
But serpent tongues
Drip poison to your ears.
The arsenic of their words
Laces your brain with sorrow,
As it spreads slowly
Through veins and arteries,
Killing from inside,
But you have to stand up
Have to carry on.
Hush, hush, Child
Monsters don't hide
In the dark of night.
Sleep tight, Child
You are not alone.
You feel small and weak
Abandoned and fragile,
But remember always
You are loved.
Bones can break, and
Wounds
Literature
Shattered Dreams of Flight
I find her clutching the ashes
Of shattered dreams of flight
Benumbed and desolate
It is shockingly inhuman
To torment a soul in anguish
With the promise of freedom
Only to strip it from her
Laughing as she was left
Trapped in hateful chains
This was the wicked pleasure
Of a cruel, demented child god
Methodically plucking feathers
Out of a captured angel's wings
One by one, viciously precise
Relishing the ecstatic thought
Of each pure dream crushed
This is the horrible aftermath
And I cannot bear the sight
Of her bloody, denuded wings
The hideous burning stench
Of feathers reduced to ash
My heart breaks to see her
Stumbling, numb and listle

Lonely Christmas
The Christmas lights are all lit up
Everywhere throughout the town
Now climbing off the bus, it´s cold
He wears the same old frown.
Trudging through the night, he walks
To his address alone
Lights twinkle now in gardens
Warmth glows in every home.
At his gate the street lamp´s out
No moon, not even stars
His house abandoned in pitch black
Looks so dismal in the dark.
His decorations long ago
All boxed and packed away
Now old and very out of date
They´d once seen better days.
Why should he make the effort,
With Lights and Christmas tree
When no one´s there to share it with
No one else will see.
So he closes out

To those that don't know, seasons are different in the southern hemisphere, here Spring is September until November instead of March to May
But yeah, yet another poem about being relatively happy, and it's probably going to have the same relative lack of success compared to my depressing work ahaha XD
Also, it was supposed to be all about a change of mood, not just a change of weather
Try to read it like you're an English teacher, and take note of the metaphorical meaning
